It’s an automated, single-source solution that delivers safer, faster, longer-lasting, more efficient and environmentally-friendly large-surface preparation that’s proven across thousands of storage tanks, gas spheres and ship hulls.

Protective coatings, products, application methods and equipment have improved significantly over the past 30 years. Yet surface preparation technology for large metal surfaces has barely progressed, continuing to employ traditional methods of scaffolding and grit blasting. J-BOT technology revolutionizes this process under the most extreme conditions.

Versatile and easier on the environment.

J-BOT can be used on coned or floating roofs, floors, external or internal shells, and spheres. Since the blast medium is only potable water, the exterior can be treated while a tank is still in service. The water even removes invisible and trapped contaminants. The result is a dust- and salt-free surface that enhances coating adhesion and service life. J-BOT also reduces the overall length and cost of projects, while allowing multiple operations simultaneously. It can be controlled remotely by a single operator up to 250 feet away. And it can travel horizontally, vertically or inverted. J-BOT is an environmentally-conscious approach that is dustless and gritless. Waste can be managed through closed-loop recycling with collection into bags for safe, easy disposal.

Utilizing the Ultra-High Pressure Water-jetting J-BOT Technology, waste is captured though a vacuum system resulting in 100% waste reduction. The commonly used grit-blasting technology introduces 10kg of sand (new waste), per every square meter of treated surface.
